Out with dajie and erjie last week? Or the week before? Don't remember.
Crazily shopping for christmas presents, and I bought dear's random present/Christmas present too. Actually I have no apparent occasion to buy you that wallet, but since Christmas is near, let it be Christmas present then. LOL.

Dinner at this really good jap restaurant. We went for dinner at 5+, or 6? And by 6plus, the restaurant is already full. Crazy. That's how good the reviews are. The service was F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C, I swear. The volunteered the push the pram to a VIP room, and after we asked for bill and is about to leave, the pram is already waiting for us at the door. Oh oh, and the staff are mostly Japanese, so it feels really authentic. And they scream that welcome word in jap really loud, now you really feel like you're in japan! A bit shocking at first, but feels quite warmth and welcomed after that. =)

She's so cute. My dajie wanted to ask a photo of the restaurant, and Germaine thought she's taking a photo of her, so she smiled, and dajie quickly snapped the photo after realizing Germaine's smiling at the corner of her camera screen. LOL.

This omlette is the best egg I've ever eaten. It looks so plain and dull, but it taste great. No, sorry, great is an under-statement. It's layered and has the taste of Chawamushi. The best part is, it's really hot.

Agedashi tofu. Why must there be ginger?

I don't really know what ramen this is. We were too lazy to read the wordy menu, so we asked for recommendations. This is some pork + garlic + many many other stuff ramen. Pretty good. Like you can taste the essence of pork in the soup.

Happily playing the chair at Agnes b with me. LOL.

Oh, and I met Joanne and Bernice for lunch that day. To grant Joanne's wish to eat that Hawaiian pork chop, catch up, laugh at that pathetically small dessert, set another day to eat ri ben chun number 29...

Met Wanling and Huiqi for ktv on some day too. Top One's drinks suck. And they caught me eating outside food and warned me not to. I'm angry. Can you just be a little more competitive? Your competitors are letting us bring outside food in leh! =x

Met Huiqi yesterday for shopping! I haven't bought anything for myself from a RETAIL shop for veryyyyy long already. Online shopping has been so convenient. I think I should shop online less frequently, and go for real shopping more often. At least I get to try them, and have friends to stop me from impulse purchases. LOL.

I'm so jealous of you, Huiqi.

I may not have the most happening 21st birthday party, or chalet, or whatsoever.

I may not have celebrated with a lot of friends. Didn't meet up with poly friends due to stupid SIP and shift work, and it happens that almost all the close friends I have in poly are hoteliers, or are having OSIP. LOL.

I may have only celebrate with my family, netballers and boyfriend.

But that's more than enough.

At least I have the biggest family ever. HAHA. And received the best 21st birthday present from them.

At least I have a surprise 20th birthday celebration from my poly peeps the previous year. Totally made up for what I missed this year.

Dinner @ Heaven's Loft.
Tell me why why why there's an outdoor private event on that day.
I WANNA SIT OUTDOOR! ARGH.
The feeling is like, going KFC and eating a fish burger.

I think steak and fries make a very weird combi. But it was ok la. I prefer some other form of potato though. Mashed, baked or sauteed?

Ayy stupid flash. But it was too dark to take a photo without flash.
This sausage platter was good! Very flavourful, not like some chicken sausage out there, dull, plain and pale looking, and taste the same. The onions, mushrooms and mashed potato were super complementing the sausages.

This is pretty heavenly. I'm not a fan of creme brulee, but this one is quite good. Maybe because it's shallow and the portion is small, so you don't get sick of it easily. And the ice cream is ben and jerry's yo! Haha.

Because right after dinner at Sakae, we went to Coffee Bean for pasta and sandwich.

This black pepper beef thingy, probably almost activated the smoke detector in the restaurant. After the beef got cooked, obviously you take it out right? But the fire just keep burning that dried-leaf-looking thing. And there's no way to extinguish the fire from the jelly-shit-looking fuel.

Okok. Give some credit to it la. The beef's quite good. Really.

Coffee Bean's sandwich is pretty tasty! Just that the portion is quite generous. Will get sick after a while. Luckily we shared.

I realized I haven't blogged for a month!

I'm actually trying to study for a test this week, but here I am, in front of my computer, trying to refresh the page for research participation study, and ended up facebooking and looking at blogs. I swear I'm going to turn the monitor off to study, and refresh the RP study just ocassionally.

School has been fine, but I can't wait for recess week to come. Though there're like projects, assignments, tests and all to complete and study before the second term starts, at least I don't have to travel to school.

Anyway, there're even more people I see in school! People like Felicia & Minyu from HTM, my distant cousin Darren, Keane & Kumar, my SA classmate, Jiehui & Jiapei from Indoor Stadium, Jiawen, Junhan & Yiming from Dunman, and finally Angeline and Sockling!

My social circle not that small hoh? LOL.

I tried this boiled vege detox meal for lunch some time before school started. It didn't taste gross, at least for a vege lover like me. But I seriously felt so tired, like I have no energy to even type the keyboard, I just wanted to sleep. That's how important carbohydrates are, I realised.

3rd day of school...........

..I already went to school earlier alone to print notes.

..I saw Mesy, Xue er (but I didn't say hi because I don't know if she knows me), Hazel and Eshley at linguistics lecture, and Gina in HW101 tutorial. All HTM-ers!

..I found out that the linguistics lecturer, for my HS234 Structure of Global English, actually taught my sister at NIE before my sis became a teacher!

..I found where Mac, Subway, Canadian Pizza, Old Chang Kee, Sakae Sushi and some other pasta cafes in school already!!

..I bought cashcard for the first time in my life and almost finished using the $5 value in a day, just to print notes!

.. I saw Lynette, Kenny's TP swimming friend which I recognize (HAHA!), Vanessa's boyfriend who doesn't know me, TP HTM coursemate Zenn (and I don't know if that's her real name =x).

And I just don't see people closer to me, like Sockling, Jevan or Angeline! TSK.

Anyway, I've changed my electives! =D

I'm quite glad that I'm not taking French anymore. I really feel that I suck in languages. But maybe I'll still take up Malay next sem. =)

Now I desperately need to sell my BRAND NEW Campus 1 French book. Bought at $39.50, willing to sell at $35 or lower. $30 also can la, I don't care already. Please please tell me if anyone is interested in buying. I need to GET RID OF IT.

I was watching Chelsea vs Hull City last night with dear, and I realized I kind of miss World Cup! It's coming next year, right? WOO! Can't wait.

It's been so long since I really watched soccer.

I don't usually watch soccer matches, unless dear or my brother is watching it, and I have nothing to do.

I'm not exactly a soccer player either, because I can't coordinate my legs while running and dribbling the ball. Like how la? Use hand to catch ball, use leg to run, easier what! Like badminton or netball? LOL. How to look down and look where your ball is going, and look around for your team mates and opponents at the same time? Aiya I don't know.

I used to play ball games with my brother. We'd play soccer, but the rule is, I can use all my limbs. And not till I grew up, I realized he was using me to train his dribbling skills, and I act as the opponent trying to get the ball from him. How clever, and how dumb.

I'd laugh at the weird names of the soccer player. I remember there is this guy named Brown, and his skin is literally, brown.

I remembered during last World Cup, we had a chalet for Sheila's birthday. We walked to a coffee shop near Downtown East at around 2 or 3am, to watch a Spain vs I-forgot-who match, over Milo-peng. =)

I also remembered I watched the Finals alone at home, while Sheila, Angeline and a few others watched at Sheila's house. Damn my curfew. =(

Ohoh, and Joanne and Simin's crazy head butting in school. Thanks to you, Zidane.

.. I managed to know the way to bookshop at NIE. Say I'm pro.

.. I managed to figure how to book computer, print notes, pay for the notes, collect the notes at the library. Say I'm pro.

I probably walked 5 or 6 km around school today. School's freaking big. I can confidentally say, whoever that gets lost in TP, you're...erm.... hopeless. Because TP is like so idiot proof, you can never get lost unless you're.... erm..... a little dumb.

The last time I really studied was like, Sem 3.1 in TP, which is like... July?
Because 3.2 was internship and Issues = don't need to study.

I haven't touched books for a year!!

I DON'T WANT SCHOOL TO START!!!

And the timetable thing sucks. I'm going to revenge on the year ones next semester or next year! So unfair la!

And that explains why I'm taking Wireless Network. I AM A COMPUTER AND TECHNOLOGY IDIOT. Oh wells.

But at least, it's related to every day life. Better than taking those maths or science related modules. I can bang wall.

On national day itself, I was at East Coast Park building sand castles with my niece. And we saw 3 helicopters idling just above the beach for....... like....... 15 to 20 minutes?

And only 2 helicopters appeared, for only a few seconds, on TV.

Think. Petrol used for 1 helicopter to idle = probably 2 or 3 months' petrol supply of your car.

Think. Petrol used = citizens' taxes.

Anyway, my niece was damn scared of the helicopters. HAHA! She cried, refused to look at them, covered her ears and complained it was loud, wanted my sis to carry her, everything.

And.....

I laughed crazily at the part where the kids said what they want to be when they grow up. This boy said,

"I want to be a PSP helper."

"I want to help people play PSP."

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!!

I want my, sleep at 1, 2 or 3am, wake up at 1, 2 or 3pm, eat lunch, play with germaine for a while before she nap, zuo bo like online, sleep, read newspaper, watch tv, until about 5pm germaine wakes up, play with her until erjie comes home, dinner and watch tv until 11pm, go online or talk to dear on phone, watch tv somemore, sleep.

And the next day begins.

Or,

sleep at 1, 2 or 3am, wake up, go out with somebody, until at night, come home bathe, and sleep at 1, 2 or 3am, wake up.

We made Ily go to the cashier to place and pay for our orders, and she treated all of us a bottle of mineral water, because they don't serve iced water! Imagine 5 bottles of mineral water on the tables! HAHA.

The really good pepperoni pizza we had on Sheila's birthday.

Sauteed mushrooms.

I tried this vegetarian stacked tofu, cheese, portobello mushroom, abalone mushrooms, with some creamy sauce and rockets vege. Not-so-nice, but sounds super tempting in the menu.

The other food are repeated from Sheila's birthday.

My Dajie ordered the seafood pasta, but it tasted super not fresh, and had a very strong "xing" smell. We told the waiter it tasted weird, and he didn't even show any signs of unhappiness. He took it back, and asked if they can replace the pasta with another order. And explained the seafood came blah blah blah.. so the stock could be.. blah blah. I forgot. And he made it sound like it's entirely their fault, they're so apologetic. Very professional. And probably 2 other waiter/manager/chef came over to apologize.

Unfortunately the duck confit wasn't as nice as Sheila's birthday. No consistency.

BUT 5-star for their service! =)

Not a single one is School of Humanities and Social Sciences' Freshmen Orientation Camp. Then why Jevan has his school's camp, I don't?

But lucky me, I have the same fate as Sinyee, so I can enquire about this and that from her, and stick to her during camps, first day of school, etc. She is my dearest SAJC 05S56 classmate, who quits JC to go to Poly, to pursue Diploma in Interior Design, in, I admit I forgot which poly. It's either Ngee Ann, or Nanyang, or Singapore. =x

While yours truly, pursued my dearest Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management, in Temasek Poly.

I hate it when I have to pile up the smelly clothes in a plastic bag which accumulates into a huge shapeless thing that I cannot stuff into my bag properly.
I hate it when the meals are not rewarding for the nonsense I bore with the whole day.
I hate it when I had to mingle around with people for days and nights, people I don't even know.
I hate it more when I had to pretend I'm having fun.
I hate it when the topics I'm talking about revolves around "What poly/jc are you from?", "Where do you stay?"

ARGH.

Ok. Nvm. I have Sinyee. Sinyee has me.

Ok nvm. I'll try to make as many friends as I can. And I'll try to enjoy myself. Really. Better be happy than grumpy.

OMG HOW COOL IS THAT?

I think I may join that! Provided it's not too intensive, meaning not long hours and not have meet ups too often. Like how often can meet up to have wine right? Once a week meh? Like that chor leh. But maybe half the time they're studying wine label............................. *snores*

But Deli Aprecio Club! I think it's just food appreciation club. OMG. Will I get fat? Do I have to pay for the food? Oh, for the wine too, for the previous CCA? LOL.

Imagine me spotting all the spelling errors in the non-pronounceable words in the most chim Italian/French menu, which we now don't even know if they're spelled right, and ordering my food in the coolest accent, accurate pronunciation and that level of confidence. WOOO~

I so forgot to mention some other things that happened in my happy holiday.

4 days 3 nights chalet with dear and family.
Longest chalet ever. I really mean, EVER.
Relatives around, meaning mothers around, meaning you'll never go "Walao, the chicken wings not cooked yet la!"

KTV with dear. Just 2 of us.
Cool yo?
And knowing dear secretly went to learn songs that I like just to sing it with me.
OHHHhhhhhhh. Sweet.

I've been really lazy to go for a jog, until I have this tiny bit of guilt in me now.

But I don't care.

Anyway, though my blog may seem to you like it's quite dead, as if I seriously have no life during my holidays, you might be a little wrong.

Because I've been enjoying at least 10 hours of sleep every night, meeting dear like there's no tomorrow, having driving lessons, work for Aaron Kwok and a few other indoor i-don't-remember-what-events-already, met up with friends, celebrated father's day, dear's mum's birthday, sisters' birthday, quit my telemarketing job because I'm tired of pay ≠ or ≥ effort, and effort = travelling time + transportation fees + getting scolded by people on the other side of the line + opportunity costs, and opportunity costs = time that could be spent with family, dear and friends, or just personal time for myself.

Ok I know I'm pampered and spoilt.

And you may still think my life isn't exciting, but it's pretty good to me already.

I am easily satisfied.

Really. Really!

How come nobody believe huh?

I'm just trying to enjoy the last real holiday in my life. Like my dajie said, "You should actually enjoy and rest now. After university, you're going to work like a cow and so this is truly your last holiday before your work life."

Ok. Maybe it's a very casual remark and I'm taking it pretty seriously. I'm just using it as a serious excuse, to slack my life away. HAHA!

Nice ambience because you'll feel like you're in Japan, many customers are Japanese! I felt like I was a tourist la. Comfortable dim lightings, the food taste freshly fried, and it comes in a set, like appetizer, your main dish, rice, dessert. And free flow of cabbage for certain orders!

Just that the service people speak a little too loud in Chinese amongst themselves.

Everything else is good. =)

Grinding the sesame. Luckily I watched enough tv to know that you're supposed to grind it. If not, we'll probably stare at it and "What's this for...?". A pity I only know you're supposed to grind it, and not the proper way of eating it with your food. LOL. I now know, from sufficient observations of the Japanese there. Haha!

I know I'm boring, but Chicken Katsu with Curry is really nice what. I miss cc and lx to help me finish the pickles. They love pickles so much, they ask for extra pickles when they order Tori-Q, and half the box of rice is covered with pickles. Eww.

Fried everything. HAHA. There are like fried pork, fried prawns, fried OYSTERS.. imagine breaded oysters dumped into the deep fryer.

And then it was "I love you, Man".
Dear watched it the second time, so I can go "Huh what did she say, I didnt catch!"

Night jogging is pretty addictive, when you have a persistent bro-in-law who will drag my sis and I out of our house with his even more persistent smses.

It's surprisingly addictive even if it's running for almost an hour. I ran 55mins a few days back. I was cheated to run 5 mins more when he said "7 more mins to 50mins!", because to run 50mins was our target that day. He picked up speed a little when my dajie couldn't run anymore, and I had to run to the speed he set for me. And being a poor runner, the moment I pick up a little speed, or I'm running with pressure, I get tired easily. I can run a comfortable relaxed pace for... forever.

And when I finally reached our starting point (we u-turned) at McDonald's, I almost died.

"Well done. You ran 55mins!"

"WALAO NO WONDER I SO TIRED. U CHEAT ME LA!"

And we're running tonight again. Because dajie and I were too tired to run yesterday. We were so afraid to tell him. Dajie kept going "EH u sms eugene kor kor already or not? Tell him we very tired, dun feel like running today"

HAHAHA. timid like... worse than a mouse.

And he accompanied us throughout. Thanks Mr Subaru, you and Subaru were really helpful that day.
And curse that hump at Huiqi's place.

Stupid Huiqi earned $100+. I only earned $50+. That's sales, not profit.
But still, motive was to get rid of clothes, not earn profit. That I told myself after I lost several potential customers due to my greed for money. Loser lament, Huiqi taught me the economic term.

It's the rawest medium rare piece of ribeye I've ever eaten. Luckily the cow is served on hot plate with black surface. If it's on a white ceramic plate, I'll probably be turned off by the waterfall of blood.

Erjie bought this bite-size-jelly-strawberry-cheesecake, which we asked to be served after our meal, they served all 28 piece on a humongous plate after our so-filling lunch consisting of soup of the day, free flow salad at the salad bar, main course, dessert, coffee/tea. ($15.90, how affordable is that? Main course is ribeye ok?)

So we requested them to ta-bao back the remaining, and when they were about to hand it to us after packing, the waitress, looking very embarrassed, said in Chinese, "My boss thought we made them, so he took one. Before I could even say it's the customer's, he already popped it into his mouth. I'm so sorry!"

HAHAHAHHAHA! Funnily angry.

I was on the train one day, sitting beside an auntie who talks very loudly on the phone.

like this week,
i baked a cheesecake on monday, which turned out to be as nua as custard. LOL.
i put it into the fridge, hoping it'll harden a bit. but it didnt quite.

so on tuesday, i took it out, let it cool, and put it back into the oven.

dun tell ppl i took culinary for my elective k? shh.

oh, and then i forgot abt it coz i was watching tv.
i mean, i looked at it like every half a min, no changes, so i was bored and went to watch tv. and then i forgot abt it. HAHA!

since i got tog with dear, i've done so many things i've nv done before.

- i went to eat the most expensive meal in my life. Inagiku, $295 after 50% discount. for 2 la.
- i went to eat my second most expensive meal at the highest restaurant in Singapore. Equinox, $150 (i think) after 50% discount.
- i went prawning.
- i went bowling for at least 3 times within a year. Previously, the frequency is like, once in, 1/2 years?
- we tried cooking lasagne at home with bottled tomato based pasta sauce, without bechamel sauce. lol.
- i began to accept shows like, narnia? i was fan of only shows like, 27 dresses, bride wars, marley & me. in short, romantic comedies/chick flicks.
- we went for massage for the first time (i need to talk abt this. massage is really disgusting. we're suffering from muscle ache esp on the shoulders for the next few days. lol. i think i'll try like the other spa treats the next time. swedish massage, yuck.)
- celebrated vday with bf for the first time
- celebrated my birthday with bf for the first time
- celebrated my bf's birthday for the first time

and many many, i couldnt recall now.

and i realized, it's true. it can get really enjoyable and sweet, doing the simpliest and cheapest activity. or i'm too easily satisfied la. i can just, walk the beach and become very happy. LOL.

but sometimes i expect a lot too. I DUNO LA!

cafe affogato. i'm really sua gu, but i duno it's like tt k? i tot it's coffee with ice cream. i mean, a cup of coffee with ice cream. they first serve u the scoop of vanilla ice cream in the glass which cant stand still, it's like a ball popping out from the middle of the base of the glass, so it cant stand still but turn around in circles. maybe it's to let the coffee coat the sides of the ice cream? or it's just pure design. whatever.

$1 macarons, promotion for feb, at deluxe by leehwa, at b1 wisma. go grab! $1.90 + cake price for any coffee from illy menu. GO GRAB! lol. the cakes are really good. it's by bakerzin anyway. i've tried the warm chocolate cake yrs back. i mean, some time back. lol. it's good too, but a bit too costly.

it was a really nice restaurant coz of it's ambience. by the pool, alfresco, not warm at all. the best thing, there were only 3 tables occupied. meaning without this big group of us, there were only like 4 customers, 2 tables occupied? haha. nevermind the food, the ambience and company are enough to spend a nice evening with my girls.

this sashimi is.. god damn good. it's like cooked a little at the edge, the middle is raw. the texture is as good as a thin slice of (i imagine) a rare-done steak, but it's fish. HAHAHAHHA. ok i noe my description's a bit weird, but ya. lol. it's thin, juicy and tender, with that light sauce tt complement, not cover the freshness of the sashimi. I DUNO HOW TO SAY I TRY MY BEST LIAO. LOL.

finally an off day. decided to stay at home since i'm unwell. consecutive 3 days of A shift after today. argh. luckily i have my dad to drive me to work for A shifts. if not i gotta get up at 4.30am.

A shift = 7am - 3pm, fyi.

but at least, i have the rest of the day for myself. B shift, 3pm - 11pm, is a wake-up-work-go-home-slp routine. u dun even have time to watch tv.

i feel like an auntie now la. i even overheard aunties gossiping abt the channel u 19-yr sth sth drama. i dun even watch tv. i dun go out. i dun facebook or friendster anymore. i duno who released the latest album. i duno what good movies are showing in the cinemas. i dun even noe who the bloody hell won f1. i mean i noe his name (from the papers) but i duno how he look like. my ultra neglected blog. thanks to study and exam week. 5 papers.

year 1.1, we only had 4 papers can? and i thought that was damn a lot liao. 5 was, eh, olevels ah?

no la. olevels i took 7. it could have been 8 coz i dropped pure sciences.

and this exam was super stress, i felt like i was talking promos in jc. ok let me explain how stress i was for promos.

damn fucking bloody stress. oh i got triple F, if u all didnt know. i only passed chinese and gp.

aiya, shit memories. tutors either dun care, or overly care and go 'eh u ok or not? this score is like one of the lowest leh'

i went 'haha', to mr lee, my then maths c tutor. he's very nice. dun believe ask huiqi. haha.

i doubt i'll do well for exams. i seriously studied only those lecturers mention in lecture. but ok la, quite well covered for exams.

oh, and i didnt feel very happy after exams. i duno why. maybe coz i dun wanna know their results. aiya sian.

but nvm. i finally met mr air forcey after so long. met as in, to have a proper dinner. aston express at coffee shop. haha. i feel like eating a damn cheap and proper steak. exams period like anyhow eat meals 1. bcoz every minute is precious. lol.

and today, i woke up at 1+, slept again at 4+ to 7+. when i woke up, my mum was like 'jiang lei ah?'

ya.. i wore tank top and shorts to look like i'm with them, though i didnt go for tanning. i'm super tofu compared to the chao tar-ed women.

lol. i'm damn lazy to update these days i duno why. lol. last week was super hectic, issue presentation + article review + mice test + f&b test + gaming test.

gaming test. goodbye 16marks. i didnt touch casino control bills at all. how to do tt question? oh, fyi, the test is a 20mark paper. i alr failed it.

last entry, i was saying i sent application for internship to 4 hotels. after tt, i sent to 3 more hotels and a serviced apartment.

and about 1 week after my birthday, my dear poly friends planned a surprise for me at my place!
i know this is super outdated but, ya i just wanna post the photos.
let me talk a bit abt it. i went to the tour agency to book my japan trip with my dajie, and they planned with my parents and dajie tt they're going to my place to do all the shit while i'm out with my dajie. they're not ready when i'm heading home so my dajie brought me to ya kun to have some food b4 we go home. HAHA.
they decorated my room, closed all the doors in my house, and hid in funny places in my hse tt i cant even find them. some of them are holding to my presents. yup and poor simin hid in my tiny and dark and smelly store room, holding to the cake. she locked the door so tt i'll find her last and bring the cake out. so when i finally found her, the cake's quite, erm, chui liao. haha. melt alr la. but hey, it's my favourite cake from four leaves. sweeties... =)
huda hid under my bedwhere it's dusty, ben hid in the toilet-cum-store room upstairs where it's smelly and dark, bernice hid behind the washing machine where it's wet, wanqian hid behind the baby's cot where it's super squeezy, serena hid under my maid's bed where it's super low, joanne hid in a pretty comfy place (HAHA, ok la, quite hot), simin hid in the small store room where there probably are cockroaches.
